Meals. Made. Manageable. is organised around a household, so the people who plan and shop together see the same recipes, plan, and live grocery list.
Start a new household
Create an account from the sign-up page and confirm your email if prompted.
Choose a display name. This is what your household members will see.
Create your first household and give it a name.
Use the Planner to add meals, then generate your first grocery list.
Join an existing household
Ask the household owner to send an invitation to your email address.
Open the invitation email and create an account or sign in with that same address.
Confirm your display name and select Join household.
Invitations are single-use, tied to the email address they were sent to, and expire after 24 hours.
02 / Planner
Plan meals around real life
The Planner is the source for the week's grocery list. Add recipes for meals that need ingredients, and use quick text for plans such as eating out or sports practice.
Add a meal
Open Planner from the menu and select the day you want.
Select Add item.
Choose a saved recipe, search for one, or create a new recipe.
Use Quick text item for activities or meals that should not add ingredients to the grocery list.
Keep the plan flexible
Use Weekly view to see the whole routine, or Daily view when you need more detail.
Move or reorder planned items when the week changes.
Use Copy Previous Week to start from a familiar routine.
Add day activities so dinner plans have the right context.
03 / Recipes and ingredients
Save the meals you actually make
A saved recipe keeps its name, optional tags and link, and its ingredient list. When you plan that recipe, its ingredients can be included in the grocery list.
Create or edit a recipe
Open Recipes and choose New recipe, or open a recipe to edit it.
Add a clear recipe name, optional tags, and the recipe link when you have one.
Add the ingredients and select the grocery aisle that makes sense for your household.
Save the recipe, then add it to the Planner whenever you make it.
Import and discover recipes
Use recipe import to begin a recipe from a web link, then review it before saving.
Browse Discover for community recipes and add a copy to your household library.
Archive recipes you do not want in everyday searches. You can restore them later.
04 / Grocery shopping
Generate one list. Shop it together.
Each household has one active grocery list. It collects ingredients from the recipes on the selected meal-plan days and stays shared while you shop.
Generate a grocery list
In the Planner, select Generate Grocery List.
Choose the dates to include.
Review the pantry check: remove items you already have or add back any pantry staples you need.
Select Start Shopping to open the shared list.
Use the live list
Items are grouped by grocery aisle to make the store easier to move through.
Press and hold an item to check it off. Checked items remain visible below the active items.
Add one-off items with the Add item field and choose their grocery aisle.
Use Close List when the shop is finished.
Shopping without a connection
Once this device has loaded a household and list while online, you can keep checking off items, adding items, and completing the pantry review offline. Changes are queued on the device and replay in order when the connection returns. You need a connection to generate or replace a list.
05 / Long Weekend
Plan meals and packing for a trip
Long Weekend Planning gives a trip its own meal plan and lists, while still using the recipes and pantry rules you already know.
Turn it on and create a trip
Open Settings > Household and turn on Long Weekend Planning.
Open Long Weekend from the menu and create a trip.
Choose the trip dates, then add recipes or quick text to the meal slots.
Build trip lists
Generate the trip list and review pantry items before opening it.
Set each item to Store when it needs to be bought or Home when it needs to be packed.
Use the Store and Home views to shop and pack from the same shared trip list.
Long Weekend lists also support shared updates and offline queuing after they have been loaded on the device.
06 / Household
Share the routine with the right people
Household members see the same shared recipes, plan, lists, and Long Weekend data. The household owner manages the name, invitations, and member access.
Invite someone
Open Settings > Household.
Select Email invitation and enter the recipient's email address.
Ask them to accept it while signed in with that exact email address.
Manage members
Only the owner can rename the household or send invitations.
Choose a member and select Transfer ownership to make them the owner while you remain a member.
Choose a member and select Remove from household to revoke only that person's access.
07 / Settings and account
Manage your own account
Settings are divided into Planner, Household, and Account. Changes to household data are shared; your personal view and appearance settings follow your account across devices.
Profile, password, and data
Change your display name in Settings > Account.
Use Change password to choose a new password.
Use Export personal data to download your account, profile, preferences, and household membership information as a text file.
Use Export saved recipes to download a CSV containing recipe names and recipe links. It does not include ingredients.
Sign out or delete your account
Use Sign out to end this device's session.
To delete your account, open Delete account and type DELETE MY ACCOUNT exactly.
If you own a household with other members, transfer ownership before deleting your account.
If you are the last member, deleting your account also deletes that household's private data. Community recipes already published in Discover and anonymous aggregate statistics may remain.
FAQ
Common questions
Why can't I join a household invitation?
Use the same email address the invitation was sent to. Invitations can only be used once and expire after 24 hours. If you already belong to another household or the invitation has expired, ask the owner to send a fresh invitation or contact support.
Why is an ingredient missing from my grocery list?
Only ingredients attached to planned recipes are generated into the list. Check that the meal on the Planner is a saved recipe rather than quick text, then check the recipe's ingredient list. Pantry staples are excluded by default until you add them back during pantry review.
Can two people use the grocery list at the same time?
Yes. Household members see one live shared list. A check-off or added item syncs to the other household members when they are online.
What happens if I lose my internet connection at the store?
After this device has loaded your household and list online, shopping changes can be saved locally and queued. Reconnect to sync them. Do not use offline mode to generate or replace a list.
Will a new grocery list keep my checked items?
No. Replacing the active list deliberately rebuilds it from the selected plan and replaces existing check-offs, manual additions, and pantry decisions. Finish or close the current list first if you need to keep those changes.
How do I remove someone from my household?
The household owner can open Settings, choose the member under Household, and select Remove from household. The remaining household data stays in place.
Can I leave a household and create my own?
Ask the household owner to remove you. When you next sign in without a membership, you can create a new household or accept a new invitation.
How do I get help with my data or a privacy request?
Email privacy@mealsmademanageable.com from your account email. Include the email on your account and whether you need access, correction, export, or deletion assistance.
